Getty Images is creating a business-to-business website that allows businesses to download images and photographs to stand out from competitors.

Gettyone.com is expected to launch at the beginning of next year it will cater to creative professionals who purchase artwork, photographs, and designs for their job. Customers can select from 1.2 million images that the Seattle company has digitized according to Getty management.

“This portal is going to offer everything that creative professionals could need to do their jobs,” Jonathan Klein, Getty co-founder, and chief executive told the media during an interview.

The latest move of the industry’s frontrunner appears to cement the rivalry between Getty and its main rival Corbis which is owned by Microsoft’s Bill Gates. With its collection of 60 million images as well as 27,000 hours of motion-picture film, Getty has focused on businesses-to-business markets, whereas Corbis is focused on the consumer market. Corbis sells the majority of the 65 million photos it has to the general public as posters, screen savers as well as electronic greeting cards however, it also sells them to news organizations.
